Broadway House recognized for successfully containing COVID-19

Jan 12, 2021

Broadway House for Continuing Care will share in the $532 million in incentive payments awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services, recognizing facilities that have met its stringent COVID-19 infection challenge. We’re proud to be one of more than 9,000 nursing homes in the nation to be recognized for successfully containing COVID-19 related infections and deaths.

Since the start of the pandemic, Broadway House has recorded very few coronavirus cases and no deaths among our residents and staff, despite the serious spread of the disease throughout Newark. “This has been a lifesaving effort on the part of our medical staff and residents, who have remained vigilant in keeping our Broadway House community safe,” said Broadway House President and CEO James Gonzalez. “The funding will go a long way toward ensuring that we continue to provide safe and effective care for our residents.”
