Behind the Scenes
It takes a lot to keep everything running smoothly at Broadway House for Continuing Care. As we celebrate Administrative Support Month, meet five dedicated employees who ensure that our residents have everything they need to heal.
Damary (Mary) Lugo
Title: Administrative Assistant
Role: Support the Social Services staff and all facets of the Ryan White grant, which provides residents with vital supplemental services
Broadway House initially captured my heart back in 1998, when I saw how everyone continuously showed support and encouragement to both residents and staff. Today, Broadway House continues to support me in my educational and professional endeavors.
Title: Finance Assistant in the Business Office
Role: Assist residents in budgeting and managing their money for daily purchases such as food and snacks
My favorite thing about working at Broadway House is meeting patients and being there for them by listening to their sadness and happiness.
Role: Transport residents to appointments with doctors and activities that take place outside of Broadway House like shopping, movies, and dining out
The residents inspire me. They have taught me how to have patience and I love helping them.
Title: Materials Manager
Role: Make sure everything is fully stocked for the staff and ensure that residents have everything they need to be properly cared for
My son is the reason I get up each and every day and make life happen. Taking care of people is what I do best because I do it from the heart.
Title: Medical Records
Role: Support residents from admission to discharge by scheduling medical appointments that take place outside Broadway House such as surgeries, x-rays, and other types of testing
My favorite thing about working at Broadway House is the people, both residents and staff. They keep me coming back day after day.”
