Admissions Director Sheila Word-Brown is often one of the first people new residents meet at Broadway House. So, she understands the importance of first impressions. “Broadway House is a loving, caring environment,” says Ms. Word-Brown, a graduate of Molloy University. “It’s important for new residents to understand that we provide compassionate care to those with HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses.” Yet the relationship between Broadway House residents and Ms. Word-Brown is a two-way street: “I chose to work at Broadway House because I want to help and serve others who are less fortunate than me. Our residents truly inspire me—they always greet you in a respectful manner.”
